You're right about the "lack" programming and the 'entitlement mindset'. It ends with Govt but begins in our own homes--and soul. The ole ego keeps telling us "trouble!" and we believe it.

All we can do is keep thinking for ourselves and create a tribe of counter-intuitive thinkers. Glad you're one as well.

Thank you for a rationale comment in an irrational (herd-mentality) world!

We can thank not only the media--but also the government--for the "lack" programming ingrained in most people today. Just look at the proposed bailout of automakers. What message is that really sending when a government enables and rewards poorly-run businesses? It sets up business owners to have a victim/welfare mindset. And it destroys capitalism. I mean, if a successful business is forced to pay for other businesses run by people who can't figure out how to manage a company, then what's the incentive to work hard and smart?

Just look at Southwest: they hedged their fuel buys, provided outstanding service, solved customer problems, and were profitable. They were foreced to unfairly compete with other, poorly-managed, "push-a-service-and-forget-problem-solving" airlines that were given a free pass after 9/11.

Thankfully there are folks like you out there still who "get it," and realize that we all create our own reality -- separate from the economy, the government, and the media.
